Overview

Measurement Notebook is an everyday measurement organiser designed to help users record, organise and remember measurements with photos, diagrams and notes.

Everyday use, not professional surveying

The app and website are intended for general consumer use. Measurement Notebook is not CAD software, professional surveying software, architectural software or a certified measurement system.

Manual measurements

Manual values depend on the measurements and information entered by the user. You are responsible for checking that values, units, item details and notes are correct before relying on them.

Camera-assisted measurements are estimates

Where supported, camera-assisted measuring is provided for convenience and may be affected by device hardware, camera conditions, surface detection, movement, lighting and the surrounding environment. It should not be treated as exact, professional, survey-grade or safety-critical measurement.

Important measurements

Double-check important dimensions with an appropriate physical measuring tool before purchasing, cutting, fitting, building, moving or installing items, or whenever an incorrect measurement could cause loss, damage, injury or other problems.

Device and feature availability

Features can vary by device, operating system and platform. Camera-assisted measurement requires supported hardware and may not be available on every device. Manual entry is the standard fallback where camera measurement is unavailable.

iCloud and third-party services

Where enabled, iCloud syncing relies on Apple services, the user’s Apple account, connectivity, device settings and service availability. We cannot guarantee that third-party services will always be available or operate without delay or interruption.

No warranty

While we aim to make the app useful and reliable, we do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, availability or suitability of any measurement, diagram, estimate, saved item, synchronisation result or other content for a particular purpose.

User responsibility

You are responsible for deciding whether a saved or estimated measurement is suitable for the task at hand and for checking official, product-specific, professional or safety-critical information where appropriate.

No liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Travel Tools & Tips and the creators of Measurement Notebook accept no liability for purchases that do not fit, incorrect cuts or installations, property damage, lost data, sync issues, costs, delays or other losses arising from use of the app or website.

Third-party links

The website may link to third-party services including Apple services, the App Store, support email or the main Travel Tools & Tips site. We are not responsible for the content, availability or policies of those services.

Changes

We may update the website, app features or these terms from time to time. Changes will be published on this page with an updated date where appropriate.
