Introduction

Measurement Notebook is designed as a private, local-first app for storing everyday measurements, photos and notes. We aim to keep data handling simple and easy to understand.

Information the app stores

The app may store information you choose to create, including item names and types, measurement values, Lists, Favourite status, Current or Archived status, notes, photographs, dates, display preferences and other app settings.

How information is used

This information is used to provide the app’s core notebook features, including displaying saved measurements, generating measurement diagrams, organising items, searching and filtering, showing photos and syncing supported data when iCloud is enabled.

No custom app account

Measurement Notebook does not require a proprietary Measurement Notebook account, username or password. The app is designed to work local-first and to remain useful offline.

Local storage and iCloud

Measurement information can be stored on the device. The app can also use Apple iCloud to keep supported notebook data in sync across compatible devices signed in to the user’s Apple account. iCloud storage and syncing are provided by Apple and are subject to Apple’s services, settings and policies.

Photos

If you choose to add photographs, the app stores them as part of your notebook so that saved measurements remain visually identifiable. Access to the camera or photo library is requested only when you choose a feature that requires it.

Camera-assisted measurement

On supported devices, the app may use the camera and device measurement capabilities to estimate a distance. Camera-assisted measurements are optional and are intended for convenience. Manual measurement entry remains available.

Website cookies

The website may use essential technologies to operate. With consent, analytics or advertising cookies may be used to understand site usage or support the project.

Advertising and app promotion

The app includes an area that can display a user-guide or portfolio promotion and may later support advertising. If third-party advertising, consent or analytics services are enabled in a released version, they may process information according to their own policies and the app’s final privacy disclosures. This policy should be reviewed whenever those services change.

Third-party services

The app or website may use or link to Apple services such as iCloud and the App Store, as well as support email, the main Travel Tools & Tips website, or advertising and consent providers when enabled. Those services operate under their own terms and privacy policies.

Children’s privacy

Measurement Notebook is not specifically directed at children under 13. The app does not require a custom social profile or proprietary user account.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy when the app, website, advertising, analytics or other services change. Any update will be published on this page with a revised date.
