Measurement Notebook was created to keep measurements, photos, diagrams and notes together instead of scattering them across notes, messages and scraps of paper.
Why I built Measurement Notebook
It is easy to measure something and write down a few numbers. The problem comes later: which number was the width, which was the depth, and which object did the note refer to?
Measurement Notebook adds the missing context. A saved item can include its name, photograph, object type, visual diagram, measurements, notes, List and Favourite status, so the numbers are much easier to understand when you come back to them.
A notebook first
The app is deliberately not trying to be CAD, a floor-plan tool or professional surveying software. It is for everyday situations such as checking whether furniture will fit, remembering a doorway width, saving a TV size, recording a plant and pot, or keeping room and appliance measurements handy.
The guiding idea is simple: measure something and remember it.
Manual when accuracy matters, camera when convenient
Measurements can always be entered manually from a tape measure, ruler or other physical tool. Supported Apple devices can also offer camera-assisted measurement for quick estimates. Camera results should be checked with a physical measuring tool when accuracy matters.

My day job is working in product design and digital product development as Head of Product Design at BroadShield, a company focused on workforce development software.
